About the National Park Foundation
The National Park Foundation has the massive project of protecting 127 historical parks (or sites), 78 national monuments, 59 national parks, 25 battlefield or military parks, 19 preserves, 10 seashores, and two reserves, and additional areas, all of which need our help.
All this adds up to 84 million acres of wild landscapes and historical sites protected by this foundation. Since its start in 1967, the National Park Foundation has been supported by a team of citizens who strive to preserve culture, promote wildlife and nature, and find ways to help protect precious wilderness.
